Having faith in the government is like lighting your house on fire so you have more heat to cook with

I’m still bewildered how the government wasn’t overthrown when it confiscated all the gold.

I would add to that that women started entering the work force as well, thus putting downward pressure on labour earnings through the years.

This confuses correlation and causality. A number of shifts in the structure of the economy occurred in the mid to late sixties. Primary was the beginning of deindustrialization. We couldn't keep on the goal standard because too much gold was being demanded and we had insufficient gold for the dollars.

I like your videos, I can tell you have read a lot of books, and have done a lot of research…the one thing I can say that is lacking is experience because of your age. You simply have not experienced enough of life where wisdom comes from, the only way to attain this is through time. You can do all the research, talk to all the people, and read all the books…talking about it is one thing, experiencing it is another. At 21 years old I really thought I knew everything….now at 37 I feel like I do not know anything at all and the only thing I can trust is my gut instinct. I can try to categorize people, generalize history, research endlessly, but nothing hits you harder than losing a parent, becoming immobile, heartbreak, going through a disease, not having your youthful body anymore, so much wisdom is gained into the human experience and the suffering the more you suffer and find the strength and courage through the toughest situations you never thought possible. You have to go through it to understand it. I can see you becoming very wise into your 60s. The experience of suffering and tragedy a string of tragedy that will rip your soul out and teach you more than any book or article will ever teach you.

Finally talking about the real issue. Control the money and it doesn't matter who writes the laws. Politics, culture, and even war are all just a show, a distraction. It's all about the money. Nothing will be fixed until the money is fixed. Fix the money and you'll find most other problems will fix itself.

I don't live in the US, but in my shithole country we adopted this "faith standard" in the 90's and our economy just goes downhill every year. I hope if I ever live to see another republic being proclaimed, that we move back to gold standard

No, the US left in 1933 when the public stopped being able to exchange USD for gold. If your going to say Europe left during/after WW1, then you can't reasonably include Breton Woods as a purely american gold standard.

1971 was also the year that birth rates began to permanently fall below replacement level in the West.

Is there a long-form video from which this was taken?

The Eurodollar system being established was the reason why we could no long exchange currency for our gold. Banking institutions outside of the US can create credit denominated in USD. This is the only way the US has the world reserve currency. Knowing that banks can create USD out of thin air they could essentially buy all the gold and default on the loans crashing the dollar and wiping out the gold supply. So it was in the best interest of the US to decouple from gold

Fiat money isn't backed by faith, it's backed by the power to tax. Since you can only pay taxes in the fiat currency, there is demand to have it to avoid having property seized.
