With Rajya Sabha’s Nod, Parliament Passes Women's Reservation Bill

Rajya Sabha on Thursday cleared the landmark bill to reserve one-third of the seats in the Lok Sabha and state assemblies for women. The 128th Constitution Amendment Bill was approved by a two-thirds majority in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. With Rajya Sabha’s nod, the landmark bill has been passed by Parliament.
