As much as I vouch for india openly supporting israel there are few reasons for india siding with Palestine which can't be ignored.

1 India’s own Partition along religious lines (Historical basis)
2 Solidarity with the Palestinian people who would be dispossessed (HR Perspective)
3 To ward off Pakistan’s plan to isolate India over Kashmir (Geopolitical reason)
4 Later, India’s energy dependence on the Arab countries also became a factor (Economic & Pragmatism)

5 To appeal to the sentiments of India’s own Muslim citizens (Domestic Politics)

India's Policies were based on freedom struggle. Ever since Independence India has been vociferous against all forms of colonialism and Apartheid. There isn't any doubt, Israel is doing colonialism and apartheid. India should never stand with Israel for petty gains. India has and will always stand for Justice ⚖.

Another reason to support palestine or non aligned, & that is land acquired in war. If Israel claims the land of palestine after acquiring in war, with that logic, India cannot claim POK and aksai chin, since it went into other's control after the war.
