We in the UK weren't the first to have a lockdown, here the first one started on March 20th 2020. But even though other countries like Italy had started lockdowns a few weeks prior, there is no way that the ramifications started to emerge before the end of April, here the govt famously said ''3 weeks to flatten the curve''. The book was in print in July 2020. Now I don't know much about publishing but 2 to 3 months to conceive, draft, write, edit, proofread, and publish a 250 page book strikes me as very very quick. Klaus the Swabian must have been up all night for weeks, was he taking pervitin all the time? It's almost as if he started writing it before the pandemic.

How'd he write that book in 3 months after the breakout ?

Basically the book is talking about us going back to the empire/regional era with the exception of being run by a bigger hegemony that controls all those empires together! This is a dangerous idea because having multiple regional powers competing and in the same time controlled gives those on the top of the pyramids destruction powers, they know the whole world won’t comply, we’ve seen this in the United Nations version and it failed miserably! Plus it was biased towards the west in every way possible. What I see in the future is the rise of different views into power, such as Islam, Hinduism and Christianity, I see the collide of USA and CHINA and china winning the proxy war and formation of new world order either Islam or Christianity based.

Quite an opinionated summary, and doesn't seem impartial. I'll have to watch another summary to verify my opinion better idea of the book- which really isnt anything remarkable, its basically a report. All skewed towards the WEF narrative. I cant believe the WEF has gotten so much traction with elites buying into their BS- the only thing that stands out is that it is an organisation that sides with authoritarianism and its members are simply trying to secure their position at the top of the food chain. The WEF is no friend of the public. The public needs to remain vigilant against the WEF and its conflict of interest / self serving objectives.

In hind sight a lot of what what the book thought would happen is not happening at all... mainly the quick part about oil and gas prices staying low. And the areas that touched on people migrating towards a more work from home, and delivery system of sorts. As in the beginning of the book suggests, it's pure conjecture.

I got the first version of the book and for some reason they even mention other versions might come out in the future; which haven't, and I made a conscious effort to not finish the book until the pandemic was 'over' (figuratively) to see just how much of these policies and such have maintained momentum. Well, so far, it hasn't at all. I put this book down in almost pure disappointment to be honest, I only learned a few things as most of it was rather common sense, yes we need to focus on environment, mental health, and 'accepting' technology, but for the most part it was just historical analysis plugged into the modern era during a pandemic. Once again, more empirical evidence that central and forward planning in economics leads to failure, let the free market dictate, don't forget that.

You really tried to give this book a chance didn't you? An admirable effort. I wish I watched this earlier, I wouldn't have bothered to buy it. I wanted to know what changes he wanted to implement and how. IMO the book is absolute rubbish, terribly written with simple concepts written in long winded verbose ways and basically useless. The predictions he made that turned out to be right were common sense, the ones he got wrong were blatantly wrong from day one.

Saying that, your review is a good one. The only accurate one I've seen so far.
