Marvelous interview i have always loved the Staple Singers being raised in the church/ church home their music was slightly acceptable in the house i would listen to coming up in the mid 90s

With it being NPR, I held my nose and watched anyway just because I love Mavis Staples. Try to avoid anything NPR-related like I'd avoid the plague.

I love Mavis. She’s always so Jolly. Her Family was a very nice Family too. Especially Pops Staples. Mavis is just as Cute as a Button. She also very Funny. I enjoy hearing her tell her stories as she grew up.
