Boris Johnson cheered by Tory MPs as he tries to unite party after bruising vote

TORY MPs today roared in support behind bruised Boris Johnson as he riled them into uniting against Labour.

In his first big test since Monday's wounding confidence vote, the PM silenced his rebels by turning his guns on their mutual enemy.

Trading blows on the NHS, Mr Johnson said "carping" Sir Keir Starmer "didn't have a leg to stand on" and called his attacks "satirical".

And defending his record on the health service he said for Labour to "carp and criticise is frankly absurd".

Earlier the Tory benches boomed as their embattled leader took his seats for the weekly Commons showdown.

But the Labour leader landed his own blows by jibing: "I couldn't make out whether that noise was cheers or boos."

Mr Johnson signalled today he was taking Monday's rebellion in his stride, despite two in five Tory MPs voting to chuck him.

Sucking up the result, he said: "In a long political career - barely begun - I have of course picked up political opponents all over the place.

"And that is because that is because this government has done some very big, very remarkable things."

The 148-strong revolt has jolted him into dangling crowd-pleasing promises such as tax cuts.

His press secretary said he hopes to slash taxes as soon as possible.

Tomorrow he will make a keynote speech laying out his plans to fix the housing crisis.

Look at them- laughing still, its all a joke to them.
Here's a thing: if the roof fell in on the house, can you name any single one of these snout-in-the-trough, self-serving narcissists that you would pull from the rubble?

As hypocritical as followers of The Sun, I'm sure you'll all agree.

Most of you believed and fought on behalf of every piece of crap that came out of his mouth during Brexit, when it suited you, but you now act affronted as though he's only just become a liar who says whatever it takes to get his own way.
This is a guy who's twice been sacked for lying and has always been self-serving, yet followers of The Sun loved him and lapped it up when it fitted their agenda.
I'm not sure whether than makes for hypocrites, gullible or just plain stupid.
All 3, perhaps?

One day: 'no confidence'. Next day: cheering. Please explain that. It reflects schizophrenic politics and selfserving. Disgusting.

This is disgraceful behaviour, and is no better than a scene from a comprehensive school hall where the students have decided to ignore the Headmaster

UFB Boris Johnson is the best thing that has happened for Great Britain since Margret Thatcher and Winston Churchill. He removed his Nation from under the yoke of the Soviet Style European Union and gave it its Independence back. He has been and is one of the strongest supporters of the Brave Ukrainians fighting the Evil Russian Nation for their very existence. He is a true British Patriot. Not a Bubble Head Socialist but a genuine British Nationalist that loves his country and it's citizens and wants only the best for them.
