The 1981-1982 retrocession combined with the '79 energy crises was a big thing then, but compared with the neverending Economic Crises of 2008, it seems like a terroristic attack with one bomb compared to a nuclear carpet bombing... if such thing exists.
And in 1983 they began to see the light...
