The Lab LDN is Mixmag and Smirnoff Sound Collective's weekly live stream, powered by Void Acoustics, where we showcase the finest DJs direct from our world famous office party and this week we hand control over to Claptone.

The masked producer exploded on to our radar back in 2012 with his brilliant release 'Cream' on Shir Khan's imprint Exploited and the label's been his home ever since then. He's gone on to become one of the most sought-after producers and DJs in the game with countless Beatport top tens and remixes for the likes of Gregory Porter, Discolsure and Faithless.

He joins us in The Lab LDN this week fresh from launching his debut album 'Charmer' and having just kicked of his world tour that includes 42 shows in less then two months.

This week's Lab kicks off at the slightly later time of 5pm GMT and you can tune in below or on MixmagTV.

I am actually happy for the "finger twiddle knob" comments. It shows that we as a culture care about the art of djing. I can't comment on if claptone is good or not because I haven't seen him enough. but it is nice to see that the culture cares.

I agree that the unnecessary knob turning looks ridiculous but that's how the guy works and his music is dope. If he wants to comb his beard every minute through a 2 hours set - he can do so as long as the music is jammin'.

claptone are more than one guy, that's why he wears mask, hat and gloves, it's a character, a concept, it's all part of the magic, that includes touching the knobs on a channel with no music, enjoy the trip

its really unfair saying that he is faking mixing! He just enjoys the moves and touching the mixer, he olsa moves his fingers as if piano playing. Moreover his music just great ;)
