I am so tired of pretending that camping on the sidewalk is ever a good answer, and I am most certainly done taxing hundreds of millions of dollars out of the taxpayer in this county to accomplish exactly fucking nothing. Rene was right to stop throwing money away.

You all are absolutely right . As long as people are living outside, there will be homelessness.

If she cares so much she should let them sleep in her backyard, I bet her nice 5 bedroom house and 2 acre yard could fit a bunch of tents. Then she can deal with them littering, doing drugs, and breaking things all day.

So they want to allocate MORE RESOURCES to help people stay on the streets, MORE RESOURCES to put out all the fires, then kick and scream about NOT doing anything to ensure their safety when someone gets hurt? There are warming shelters, go to them. Why pass out more tents and tarps just so we can allocate MORE RESOURCES to clean it up? Coexisting with tents in our streets is not a “humanitarian effort”, they’ll always be on the streets if you make that choice the easier choice. That’s doing them a disservice. It blows my mind how people can advocate for helping people live on the streets.

I don’t see that woman hosting homeless in her house or in her yard. Just more performative bs….Empty words
