How to Automate Tasks in iOS Using This Simple App

This has to be the most useful app ever on iOS. It's called Workflow and it's made by Apple (even though they don't promote it very much). The concept is rather clever. The app has tons of triggers and actions that you can string together and then run by simply tapping on the widget button. It starts at the top and then works its way down to the bottom and outputs whatever it is you need. And, because it is made by Apple, it actually has access to system things that any other third-party app wouldn't have, making it far more powerful.

Here's how to use it to automate tasks in iOS.

Is there an app that uses geofencing to change iphone settings.
Your at the movies geofence turns your ringer/ brightness down.
Your at a store and geofence changes your lock screen to the stores perks/discount card.

The app isn’t available anymore. It’s been fully integrated into Shortcuts. Even if you have the older app, when you update it will update Shortcuts.

The application is now called Shortcuts. I try to create a location based automation, this works well but you are always prompted to run the automation. I don’t get the point if you have to prompt the automated automation to run. Thank you very much 🤗

The developer links to a company called DeskConnect, Inc. though. And the app, although claimed to be made by Apple, is not the same developer as the Apple that developed all the other apps. Where can I confirm that this is an official app? Any sources? Thanks for sharing this though!

Can this app automate tasks like turning on/off WiFi and adjusting the sound profile (e.g. volume or vibrate mode), based on system events like connecting to or disconnecting from Bluetooth (e.g. your car) or WiFi SSID (e.g. work)? I've used Trigger on Android for years, to turn off WiFi and raise volume all the way up when in my car, turning WiFi back on when leaving my car, putting the phone in vibrate mode when at work (via network WiFi), etc. Now that I had to switch to an iPhone because of my Work Apps, I can't use many of the productivity apps and tools I'm accustomed to. If this app does not work like Trigger, does anyone know of alternative apps that might do the same thing? Thanks in advance, for your suggestions.
