Biography
CHRONOSPHERE was formed in Athens/Greece back in 2009.
The band counts 3 full-length releases and one demo release (“Hypnosis”, recorded at Made in Hell Studios in 2010).
The debut album (“Envirusment”), was recorded at Esoteron Studios in 2011 / released by Athens Thrash Attack + Eat Metal Records. The album release was supported by numerous shows, appearances in festivals such as Wacken Open Air and Metaldays Festival, a tour in Greece, sharing the stage with some of the most well-known metal bands, including worldwide legends Rotting Christ and Suicidal Angels along with UK thrashers Evile. “Envirusment” had a huge success, it sold-out and reissued with a new artwork.
In 2014, recordings of the band’s 2nd full length album (“Embracing Oblivion”) were over. The album was recorded, edited and mixed by George Emmanuel (Rotting Christ) and mastered by Fredrik Nordstrom (In Flames, Dimmu Borgir, Bring Me The Horizon, Opeth etc).The artwork was made by the master Andrei Bouzikov (Municipal Waste,Toxic Holocaust etc). It’s also worth to mention the collaboration with Josh Christian (Toxic) in the song Herald The Uprising. CHRONOSPHERE signed a contract with Punishment 18 Records + Spiritual Beast for a European and a Japanese release (ALSO sold-out and re-released later on) and hit the road to unleash a new wave of razor sharp riffs supporting thrash legends Sodom, Destruction, Tankard, Carcass and many more.
Early 2015, the band announced its’ 1st European (headlining) Tour invading 11 countries for 27 shows! It was an absolute success, fans that attended the shows characterized the band as “the next big thing”! CHRONOSPHERE also earned a lot of sponsorships such as: EMG Pickups, RedBull Energy Drink, Lonis Tattoo House of Art, NoLogoPicks, R-stick drumsticks, Mosher Clothing and Bulk strings. A second European tour at central Europe followed as part of “Embracing Oblivion” promotion during 2016 spring.
Shortly after, the band recorded its’ 3rd record “Red N’ Roll” (2017). The album was recorded, edited and mixed by Kostas Spades (Chronosphere) and mastered by Ivy (DMC).The artwork was made by the mighty Jesse Schaller.
ANOTHER headlining European tour took place in April/May 2017! “Red N’ Road” Tour consisted of 24 shows in 10 countries, taking the band to the next level.
After a summer run of festivals (Exit Festival, Rockstadt festival etc.), CHRONOSPHERE joined forces with Onslaught, Artillery and Exarsis for “THRASH ‘TILL THE DEATH TOUR 2017”, during September/October 2017! The band also invaded Japan during November for the first time, performing at Japanese Assault Fest... And the journey goes on…
