Great stuff Dorian the last variant of the traditional Hoover Junior...These are called “High Power” Juniors. Many people know them as 80s Juniors, lol.
This one is from the 70s

So glad you are pleased with this landmark design of Junior HooverLux. It makes parting with my cleaners so much more worthwhile when I see such passionate enthusiasm by its new owner. There were permanent cloth bags available for the Hoover Junior at the time of this model although not a genuine Hoover spare. When altering the height setting always tilt the cleaner forward to take the weight off the front wheels although not so important with this type of dial but more so on the earlier 1346A/U1012 series.

you may notice Dorian the handbook photo shows a different belt guard. these were redesigned to the one on your cleaner as some hard objects picked up were jamming between the guard and belt and damaging it. I have the early version cleaner dated August 1978, I think from memory. Three different tv adverts promoted this restyled Junior - the magic glove, the animated dust particles and the three house husbands. The gold U1036 appears in the current and 2017 series of Endeavour on ITV, in Detective Thursday's home, ten years or so ahead of its time!

I've seen that this color has become available again in upholstery. This machine did very well. Consider the talent you'd brought out the first two times after your recent pet grooming and think of what this 350w machine just did. It really punches above it's weght class.
