This video will show you how to permanently disable SELinux in CentOS 8 operating system from CLI (Command-line interface).

To permanently disable SELinux in CentOS 8, you need to make changes to its configuration file. SELinux (Security-Enhanced Linux) is a security feature that enforces strict access controls, ensuring processes and users follow predefined policies. While it offers enhanced security, some applications or environments might require disabling it for compatibility or performance reasons.

To disable SELinux permanently, you'll need to modify the configuration file that dictates its behavior at boot time. In this file, SELinux can be set to either *enforcing*, *permissive*, or *disabled*. Changing the mode to *disabled* ensures that SELinux won't load or enforce any policies during system startup.

After editing the configuration file, you must reboot the system for the changes to take effect. Without a reboot, SELinux will continue running in its current mode. Disabling SELinux permanently may lower the security of the system, so it’s important to ensure that this step is necessary and that other security mechanisms are in place if needed.
