John DiMaggio - Creating Bender

John DiMaggio, the voice of Bender from Futurama and Jake from Adventure Time gives us an insight into the creation of this distinctive character.

John D originally tried out with that voice for the Professor, but didn't get the job. Ultimately they requested he do the voice as the robot on the show, thus, Bender.

He looks exactly like I want him to when I hear Bender and/or Jake. Not all voice actors look like I imagine when I hear their voice.
