Me vs 2 Richards, Mass crossbows and macemen. This mission was a nightmare, probably top 5 hardest missions in this game, they both have the high ground advantage and keep pushing with random catapults and it's super annoying, it's really hard not to lose your whole base and get control of the game. I'm pretty sure this mission took me more than 10 tries.

This mission was an absolute nightmare. In order to have catapults destroy less targets, I threw all the hovels onto bottom left part of the screen, curiously enough no troops cared to destroy them. Also digged a moat to block the river path closest to me, forcing his troops to go all the way to the other river path, which helped crossbowmen deal more damage to his troops. I also placed the marketplace there. Then I sold all the stone to get some extra crossbowmen at the start and sold all the wood to clear the stockpile. Destroyed it and moved it to the side facing Richard across the river. So that way the I could craft crossbows safely using the keep as a shield from the other Richard's catapult. Meanwhile I filled the iron ores closest to me to constantly get money to buy food and other stuff. After getting enough shields and crossbowmen, I made a few of them slowly progress uphill while hiding on the rocks nearby the Richard behind me, thankfully I made them get close enough to force the gatehouse to close, then moved two shields to a very specific spot on his gatehouse so none of his archers or siege equipment would hurt it, rendering him useless. Destroyed all of his now non-operational apple farms and quarries. Slowly raised production and put towers and siege engines to defend against the other Richard. After getting many troops, killed the Richard whom I blocked his keep with the shields (took a while for the crossbowmen to kill his defense troops on the keep). Then went for the other one. Took me several hours to do all of that... I hate this mission lol

fun mission, its ireally hard at the start, myself i went for round tower near the stone quarry between me and yellow. Then used crossbows and sent a single ballista to burn yellow's castle and all went good afterwards

-Start the game only at 25 speed
-destroy your stock and build it at the left farms and dig the entrance to your castle and put a gate with bridge to prevent yellow from attacking and make a passage for your pasents -spam apple farms, wood, crossbow workshops and a hop farm
-Build 3 ballista to defeat orange catapults and build a tower to dominate the stone up
-When ur population starts increasing build wheat farms and play on bread
-It will be easy to defend orange and yellow with your crossbow army
-Then start to build trebuchets down the cliff to destroy orange's towers, then you owned the game
The key is to save ur economy from catapults

My only hope to beat this mission is to do everything you do, at 20 speed, with frequent pauses.

What I don't understand is why they put such a hard mission on #33 while there are much easier missions in the 40's.

The easiest way is to destroy yellow's woodcutters huts and other wooden buildings (he will destroy them to get wood) to keep him from building marketplace. Then keep the knights near the place he keeps building woodcutters and destroy it regularly. There will be about 50 troops and walls without towers, yellow having 8k gold without a way to spend it.

Finaly i just did this. No crosbows in the begining. Only ballistas, apple farm, stone and iron mines. And tower near stones on right.

I think, that this is the hardest mission, even harder than mission 80! Do you agree?

im still stuck on the mission :'(

this fucking level man, if the catapultes didnt get caught in that glitch and my arrows actually hit this wouldnt be that difficult and there must be an update thats changed some stuff my game doesnt play out like yours despite doing the same shit

I'm still surprised by the fact that this mission is horrible because I beat this last year easily with early macemen rush tactic against the Richard on the hill.

I've only ever finished this mission once, by deleting my stockpile at the start and building all production at the top right corner away from both enemies. Then I surrounded the keep with ten square towers and two gatehouses. No walls anywhere. It was still slow because workers had to make it across the map whenever production buildings are set up.
