I am one of Jays original students for i watched him jamming with his father Howard back in the day, and in case you are rebelliously wondering it is never, ever to late to get into playing Jazz from the Real Book..

They call it stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
They call it stormy Monday
But Tuesday's just as bad
Lord, and Wednesday's worse
And Thursday's all so bad
The eagle flies on Friday
Saturday I go out to play
The eagle flies on Friday
Saturday I go out to play
Sunday I go to church, yeah
Gonna kneel down and pray
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Though I'm tryin' and tryin' to find my baby
Won't somebody please send 'er home
Oh ho
Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Yeah, I'm proud, Lord have mercy
Lord have mercy on me
Though I'm tryin', tryin' to find my baby
Won't send 'er home, yeah, oh baby

Jay Roberts ( what a gift to our area). He should be recording and the combo of him and Don Mock genius. Howard was so good there will never Howard - Tom Scott- Dave Grusin-Chuck Dominico- John Gurien
- Tom Scott plays Organ and Sax. .( AFirst ?) These we’re all young guys at the time and hip. Yet they attempt for to keep up with the Master.
1969 wow. He was too good for the Wrecking Crew although always connected. I was able to see Jay play
with my
friend Danny Hoefer one night at a club in Seattle. I had
been in the business for many
years. Thank was simply the best live club guitar duo I have ever heard. Peace

This is a great jam track and goes with The Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East recording very well if you use something like Amazing Slowdowner to slow the recording down just slightly. It’s also perfect as is. Nicely done !
