How to make an Edwardian Dress? Historical Sewing for beginners

This is a simple cotton batiste dress made in the style of Edwardian Era. It is entirely handsewn. To sew this dress, inspired me the photos of Edwardian ladies in white dresses. The historical epoch of this dress is the end of the 19th century and/or the beginning of the 20th century. It is a historical costume rather than a historically accurate garment. The advantage of it is that it was very easy to sew so it is appropriate for those who would like to start historical sewing and are interested in historical fashion. The dress consists of three parts: blouse, skirt, and collar. My Edwardian blouse is attached with a safety pin (yes, it is makeshift), the skirt is tied with a band, and the collar with ribbon. The collar and sleeves are decorated with lace while the skirt with ruffles (there was not enough lace).

I have never seen anyone just grab a pencil, scissors and fabric and make an outfit. Absolutely beautiful. Truly. Nice job 😊
