More about this album from this link!
I just released with my record label Mad Guitar Record a new Ep album. Like Guitar Without a cause, it is an instrumental album.
I focused in having more melodies and good licks, you will hear some bends and a more breathing rhythm section. This time i left a bit aside
the country/funky licks for more aggressive tracks.
There also a more live feel, although GWAC was recorded with real musicians, you can hear now the Rooband performing at its best.
If you follow our gigs during the past 3 yrs, we have been working on material that not only express my own musical personality but the other musicians that bring a lot
of fresh vibes and solid playing.
I really like the drums that where exactly what I would expect.
This time I left room for a guest solo. Im honored to host Mr Fastfinger playing on my album. The solo he plays is really perfect and well written.
The album is co produced by Tipi Aula, who is producer and our 2nd guitarist in the band so it was great to work with him and get the most of his
equipment and talent.
Finally I like much better my guitar sound, I used this time a lot of different amps and 3 custom Mayones guitars with custom pickups. So the guitar tone feels breathing.
The songs IMO are more related to each other and follow a concept around the darker and mysterious atmosphere
I wanted the cover artworks to be black and white and darker shades, unlike GWAC that is white colored.
It was important to feature again the skeleton logo, in a different way. Thanks to Juha Siirilä that created the character and Minna Vellonen that edited everything.
This time we included a band picture that looks pretty cool.
As you maybe know I have been running at the same time my other album production, "Reign Over Obscurity". Some of the instrumental material recorded was not fitting with the
other tracks with vocals so I decided to split into two albums. This album host the extra material.
I wasn´t keen to release remotely single digital tracks, which was always an option but I rather like following a traditional path. An album is better for the long terms, it also pays tribute to the hard work we did.
Im specially happy with the digifile packaging.
Let me know what you think, thank you so much for your support you´re the best!
