thank you so much! a small tip for those having issues with an object acting strangely instead of just doing what is supposed to, apply all the rotations scales and changes first

If it isn't working for you in the new Blender:

-Make sure you apply transforms to the mesh
-The mesh center needs to be moved to the center of the empty object
-The "relative offset" box must be unchecked.
- Check the "object offset" box and select the empty object as the center.

Thanks for the video!

boy am I glad I stumbled onto this, very cool tip. I actually didn't know how to do radial array modifiers without a nurb/bezier circle before now. thanks!

I really appreciate this video. I have a questions if anyone can help. Right around 3:30 the switch from global mode to cursor mode doesn't seem to be doing anything for me. Any scaling I do in either modes just goes crazy and doesn't conform as seen in the video. Thanks again!

This is absolutely awesome thanks. Just a slight issue with the audio. I think the audio levels are really low. When I have the volume at a level I can hear you well the ads nearly knock me out of the chair with their volume. It might help to make some adjustments.

Such a great Tutorial. How did you get your Modifier stack to look like that Super curious

Hi! About this [2.44] when I rotate my pieces go all over the scene, I do have 5 parts but they are not coming together. Any idea how to solve this? Thank you

Hi, thank you for your great tutorial. I'm clear in doing radial symmetry, but can you tell me how to set up the Maya pie menu?

Very good, thanks for this. It worked perfectly the first time. Now whenever I do it, it scales the copies some arbitrary amount and the only way I can seem to fix this is by moving and scaling the "empty". The rotation works perfectly, but even if I don't scale or move the empty at all, it will move and scale the copies and the only way I can figure to fix it is to move and scale the empty in the opposite direction until the copies are visually identical to the original (except rotated). Even if it's close enough for it to weld correctly (which takes time and is annoying to do) I don't like the idea that the copies aren't perfect copies. Anyone have any ideas?

I've obviously tried recreating the empty in case I accidentally manipulated it but after multiple tries I'm fairly sure this isn't the issue. I've also recreated a simple version of the thing I'm trying to add radial symmetry to with with the same results. Seemingly the only difference between the working version and the not working version is that the working one is done at default blender scale (so about a meter wide) while the not working ones are done at real scale (i.e. the scale at which they will eventually be 3D printed), which are about 150mm wide and 115mm tall. I just can't imagine that scale is the issue—it's not like I'm working with femtometers or something crazy like that. But I suppose I could just create everything using blenders meters as millimeters and scale it down before export, that just seems like a silly workaround.

"Copy this to the other side..."

With Alt+X it does nothing for me, is it a mod?

If you play this at 2x speed he sounds like Jesse Eisenberg

horriblew tutorial, you should be explaining each step, for example my menu does not show "mesh".

when i put object offset i get like a weird artwork with my segments splatted in all axes and deformed lol

good tips, though you may want to look at your audio mixing as It was easier to hear your keyboard over your voice. good work though!

There's so much of this that I don't know what you're even doing. Is there a tutorial for the rest of the stuff?
