I remember when I first dived into the world of SQL. It was overwhelming at first, but with a structured approach, I quickly found my footing. Having earned the Oracle SQL Expert 1z0-071 certification and authored 'Mastering SQL Windows Functions,' I can confidently say that a well-defined SQL roadmap is key to mastering SQL.

🗺️ Here's a step-by-step guide to start your SQL journey: Detailed SQL Roadmap for beginners

Data Types: Understand the various types that SQL handles.
Operators: Master logical, arithmetic, bitwise, and comparison operators.
DML (Data Manipulation Language): Get familiar with the seven essential DML statements.
DDL (Data Definition Language): Learn the four crucial DDL statements.
DCL (Data Control Language): Explore the two key DCL statements.
TCL (Transaction Control Language): Study the five important TCL statements.
DQL (Data Query Language): Focus on SELECT and its clauses like WHERE, ORDER BY, and GROUP BY.
Functions: Dive into aggregate and scalar functions, understanding their categories.
Constraints: Learn about the five main types: primary key, foreign key, check, unique, and not null.
🔍 Why SQL Matters for Data Analysis:
A renowned study by Harvard Business Review highlights that data-driven organizations are 23 times more likely to acquire customers, 6 times more likely to retain those customers, and 19 times more likely to be profitable. SQL is the backbone of data analysis, making it an essential skill for any aspiring data professional.

🌟 Stay committed and remember, every expert was once a beginner. Keep pushing your boundaries and soon, you'll be the one sharing your SQL journey with the world.

is there a mistake in your roadmap ? because I searched it in Gemini and it gave me the following answer: *DML (Data Manipulation Language) Statements:

INSERT: Adds new rows to a table.
UPDATE: Modifies existing rows in a table.
DELETE: Removes rows from a table.
SELECT: Retrieves data from a database (while not strictly a DML, it's often categorized with DML as it's used to manipulate data).
Other SQL Statement Categories:

DDL (Data Definition Language):

CREATE: Creates database objects like tables, indexes, views, etc.
ALTER: Modifies the structure of database objects.
DROP: Deletes database objects.
TRUNCATE: Removes all rows from a table.
DCL (Data Control Language):

GRANT: Grants privileges to users.
REVOKE: Revokes privileges from users.
Other SQL Concepts:

Stored Procedures (CALL): Precompiled SQL statements that can be executed multiple times. They can contain DML statements, but they are not DML statements themselves.
EXPLAIN PLAN: A tool used to analyze the execution plan of a SQL query. It helps identify performance bottlenecks and optimize queries.
Locking: A mechanism to control access to data, preventing conflicts and ensuring data integrity. It's not a specific statement but a database concept that can be used with DML statements.
So, while CALL, EXPLAIN PLAN, and LOCK are important concepts in database management, they are not categorized as DML statements.
