When to sell stocks is a more important decision than when to buy them because it's when you lock in profits or losses. Most newbies run into problems because they buy stocks based on what other people think. Most of these supposed "stock tips" are useless because they say nothing about the most important decision an investor needs to make - when to sell stocks? For long-term investments, these decisions become even more difficult as no investor likes to leave money on the table. That's why buying stocks you're willing to hold forever is the best way to sleep well at night. IF you buy the highest quality companies with business that have proven to be resilient over time, there will be few reasons to ever sell aside from rebalancing. There are three reasons we would sell any tech stock and one reason only that would drive us to sell a dividend growth stock.

The most under rated channel . Don't understand how you only have 12k followers. If you did Tik Tok shorts, you would probably grow a lot more.

Great video and advice! This is personally what I do: buy stock in interesting companies and when they go up about 30%, sell 2/3 of holdings and keep the other 1/3 "for free" and let it ride. Re-invest that money into other interesting companies. It works 50% of the time!

Do you use technical analysis when buying or selling stocks that you have high conviction on, even for the long term? I don't know, maybe it falls under 200 Monthly/Weekly MA.

Can you do a video about 3D Printing stocks? What'd you think about ANSS?

Hi there, Just found your channel today. Love it and subscribed. I have a modest portfolio of around 215K 54 y/o. I'm heavily invested in Nvidia and AMD. (90%) enjoying the recent growth. I've had these 2 for many years and I believe in them and their future in benefiting society. My question is, considering the revolution we're experiencing in AI. Their growth seems to be a good investment at least for the next 2-4 years. Should I be trimming these back when I'm am going long. (Roughly 10 years) are we in extraordinary times where it will be smarter to leave the money alone and let it grow? Or trim, Thanks so much, love the channel.

Pertaining to your 11% rule. After (or during) the trimming process are the proceeds reallocated immediately? What percentage do you favor as a cash reserve? And/ or have you done a video about this that I may reference?

You can’t wait for your stocks to suck before selling them. Charts actually help guide you. Buying AmD in 2016 and selling in 2021 was clearly spelled out in a chart . $4 to $150

This one is a bit chaotic. A nice real-life example would be nice.

Don't kid yourself all investment is speculation. Even if you do your research, buy on fundamentals etc you are still speculating management will continue to deliver, the products will remain competitive etc etc.
