Had a buddy named "Scooby" that terrorized DFW circa 2000. Before YouTube or any cameras really. He would pull up with a completely different kit every 2-3 weeks. One time he hopped a curb on his Gixxer and a chunk of what I thought was the body panel flew off but it was a 1/4 thick paint chip. It looked like piece of one of those giant jawbreakers-ALL the colors. Skins held together with zip ties and baling wire. He had 3 GSX 1000Rs and they were all like that. He'd steal spray paint and paint his skins and helmets all the time. Sometimes mid chase. Ever lost a roll race to a hot pink Gixxer? It sucks! 😂 Takes even more skill to get away on one. He called me once and told me to open the shop door he was coming in hot. It was like 2am. A kinda black/white guy wearing a kinda black/white t-shirt riding a streaky kinda black/blue bike whipped in my shop blacked out. From the factory bikes have fulltime headlights and brake lights. We put switches on our bikes so we could kill ALL the lights completely if we wanted. Even when on the brake. Comes in clutch when you need it. I closed the overhead door and shut off the overhead lights and I just see two eyes and a big ish eating grin floating in the dark.
2005 he was running again and was going down a residential and some kids acted like they were going to run out in front of him so he dumped the bike to keep from hurting them. They laughed. He knew better. Bike slid down the street, hit a curb, somersaulted up the front steps of a church on the corner, and smashed through the double glass doors and one of the decorative wooden doors inside. He was busted up pretty bad so he didn't get away that time.
He obviously got arrested for that but the idiots gave him bail. For like 20 counts of evading! Well he jumped bail and got hunted down by bounty hunters after about a year. While out on a work detail he escaped and a REALLY REALLY good, handsome, loyal, smart, best of the best friend helped his ass get out of town.

I had the US Marshall's at my job talking to my boss! NOT a good look! But, like I said, cameras weren't really around like that yet so....yeah, allegedly...
