This feels like somebody had been pitching task ideas all day only to have them rejected, so they completely lost their mind and went "well how about we have them play hide and seek but they have to walk backwards using GoPros on their heads and there's a soldier wearing a ghillie suit saying their name into a walkie-talkie every five seconds", and everybody just went with it because nobody was interested in poking the bear by that point.

This is one i would like to try myself.
When walking long distances sometimes i close my eyes to see how well i maintain direction, i wonder how alex would have reacted to one running down the corridor.

I'm kind of surprised Alan didn't fare better with the camera. I'm reminded of that bit in an episode of QI, where Stephen made him read with an echo device pointed at him, and he managed to read perfectly fine, whereas the other panelists couldn't get a single word out.

They've done this one in the Swedish version of Taskmaster, but they had someone lying down on the ground. Was as amusing to watch as watching this one, big thumbs up from me.
