Creo parametric is PTC putting lipstick on a pig (Pro/e Wildfire). The software is still stuck in the 1990's. I recently switched to Creo from Solidworks and I'm astonished by how terrible the user interface is. Without an extensive on-site training which you will have to pay at a premium price, good luck to figure out how to use the software.
The basic package of Creo lacks some of the fundamental modules (surfacing, large assembly, fasteners toolbox...) you wil have to pay for each of this modules whereas they are all included with the most basic package of Solidworks.
PTC might have been the CAD leader 20 years ago but now unfortunately it has become the Blackberry of the CAD world.
