This is a real-life video overview of Tamron`s new 150-600 megazoom. We used the lens with a EOS 550D - thus considering the crop factor the focal length is equivalent to 240-960mm.

The most impressive feature of this lens was its vibration compensation (VR) mechanism. There has not been a chance to test Tamron`s VR with such an extreme conditions as is the 600mm focal length before. During our shooting session Ardo was able to shoot acceptably sharp photos with unbelievable 1/15 sec and 600mm - handheld. Thanks to an excellent Tamron VR system. I`d say this is the main selling point of this lens -- beside its fine sharpness, quick autofocus and good price-point of course.

Excellent presentation. I recently received my Tamron 150-600mm and find it to be very sharp at all focal lengths and made very well.

In other reviews,  They keep saying its auto focus is slow. But watching this video, even at 600mm, auto focus isn't bad. Yeah, super more expensive Nikon/Canon lens are "faster". Tamron is slower, but NOT slow. As soon as it comes out for Nikon mount, I think I'll buy one. I almost purchased 2x teleconvertor for my 70-200 2.8. Glad I didn't :-)

Lausa hämmastav, milline tulemus Canon EOS 550D ees. Kasutan ise sama kaamerat ja ei saa pooltki nii häid tulemusi tamron 70-300mm VC Di objektiiviga, vahet siis pole kas stabilisaatoriga või ilma
