Checking out the new Native Instruments Action Strings library for Kontakt and Kontakt Player. This is a Cinematic orchestral phrase library with a simple and easy to use interface

Thats the feeling I got from your video....seems to be much more for scores than it would be for anything else. All I know is every time I hear it demoed I can't help but think of star wars (or more so John Williams). Thanks for the info. One more question lol but what program(s) do you use software wise? I have been messing around with pro tools (been more a FL guy) but the more I look it seems its really an endless pit of different software.

it should save at the proper tempo unless your project itself is opening at a faster tempo, you could try saving the patch itself as an instrument and see what happens, it could be a bug you're running into. Are you on the latest versions of Maschine and Kontakt?

How do you like that UltraNova...I have a MicroKorg at the moment, but I am thinking about switchin it up for that UltraNova (w. those touch sensitive parameter buttons!!!). Please reply if you can - I value your opinion on such things.

Always enjoy your reviews. Just bought Action Strings and am using it in Maschine. When I save the project and come back to it, what I recorded in Action Strings now plays at an extremely fast rate. It's sped up for some reason, and I have to reload the plugin, but it just happens all over again after I reload the project. Any idea how to solve this?

Appreciate the reply, I'm up to date on the software. However, I just found out what it's doing. Under the playback tab in Action Strings, it's somehow being switched to 2x instead of staying on 1:1 after I save and exit in Maschine. When I reload the project, I pull up Action Strings, and it's back on 2x, making me click 1:1 again. Happens every time. No idea why it's switching the tempo like that, any ideas?

I totally get where you were coming from trying to use it. I would have done the same thing myself. =P It was just so loud and I am trying to determine if Action Strings is worth the money and the space used on my hard drive. What would you say? Space isn't an issue really, but that price tag had me wanting to cry.

Will this work with a Macbook Air and a William's Concerto electric piano? Also, what's the Kontakt for? Do I need that for editing? Can I edit in Garageband?
