Valedictorian Speech | Curtin Convocation 2023

I'm thrilled to share my experience at the Curtin University Sri Lanka's annual convocation, held on the 20th of March 2023 at the SLIIT Auditorium in Malabe. The ceremony was graced by the presence of His Excellency Paul Stephens, the High Commissioner of Australia to Sri Lanka, as the chief guest.

The convocation was a proud moment for me as I graduated with a first-class honours degree in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University. I was also honored to receive the Curtin Academic Excellence award for engineering and the Curtin alumni Sri Lanka Chapter award for best allrounder.

One of the highlights of the event was the valedictorian speech made on behalf of the graduating class of 2023, which I had the privilege of delivering. It was a humbling experience to address my peers, professors, and esteemed guests at the ceremony.

The Provost of Curtin University Australia, Professor Jeremy Kilburn, and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Global Curtin University Australia) Prof. Seth Kunin attended as special invitees and made the event more memorable.

Overall, the Curtin University Sri Lanka's annual convocation was an inspiring and memorable event, and I'm grateful for the opportunities it has presented me with. I hope you enjoyed watching this video and thank you for tuning in.
