Dr Alex: MY FIRST DAY AS A DOCTOR- What I wish I had known!

Over the next few weeks, final year medical students and nurses will be stepping up and graduating early, to help fight on the frontline. We are SO grateful for their help and bravery. Together with Dr Cath Taylor I share with you some of the things I wish I had been told before starting as a junior doctor. Alex that was great I remember f1’ s coming on the ward and as a experienced nurse I always use to talk to them and ask them if I could help them especially with helping them do venflons and taking blood everybody has to learn also even after years you are still leaning. Another great video. Those that ask will learn the quickest. There are many experienced nurses who are more than happy to help and would much rather you ask, when you were not sure, than try and muddle along. After all, it’s about having the patients best interests at heart. ❤️
