I suppose what shit you run into and how long you're stuck in it is what dictates what you'll have left. If HQ even receives a LACE REPORT, it means you're still alive. That's Combat Effective enough.

My grandpa was stuck in New Guinea during wwII w the army Air corps. Unfortunately their supply drop never came. I always remember him saying u can't eat bullets and drink gasoline. Luckily they found some indigenous locals who showed them where to find water and game. Situation was so bad that when maggots got into the soup base mix the soldiers were all overjoyed to have some protein back in their diet. Also termites apparently taste like peanut butter.

Carl ran out of ammo in the first 5 minutes because Carl wasn't gonna hump all of that unnecessary weight back.
And honestly, I'm not mad at him. He kept heads down while we flanked and killed. Kudos to Carl. My man.

I understand that, that's less concerning to me. What does concern me is that not only did you turn him into swiss cheese, YOU WAISTED FOUR BELTS OF AMMUNITION AND DIDN'T EVEN PICK UP THE CARTRIDGES.

We used to radio all the time especially when patrolling on couple day missions. They would drop huge pallets full of stuff or body bags out of planes. Often times they would land so hard everything would be fucked inside them and we'd salvage what we could and get rid of the rest.

Yeah I only let that happen once thanks to our hi speed squad leader telling us to drop water, we "dont need that much"
