In February 2022 Lodge Cast iron introduced the Sportsman’s Pro grill. This is a drastic redesign of the old Lodge Sportsman’s Grill. I’m this video I talk a bit about the history of this great grill and we look at the changes that the new one has. #lodgecastiron

That was a thorough comparison! I like that the bail fits both... if I ever do purchase the “Pro”, I have a feeling I’d lose one of those handles. i use my Lodge Sportsman's grill every Saturday ! i can cook 2 steaks, one inch thick in about 18 minutes, AND THEY ARE PERFECT MEDIUM RARE !
as i recall, they went for about $100 . the new " PRO " is around $180 .
i prefer the old style . " new " does not always mean " better " .
but being " discoed " means you'll have to find one used . or pay through the nose for a new/old stock one .

In the restaurant business we call the flat grill grids, "fish grids". They are easier to grill fish with less stick. I use these grids for everything.
Oil them with salad oil and a silicone brush, get rid of the spray cans.
