This short film was recorded for Dementia Researcher by Dr Louise Wood, to inspire young-people and undergraduates to consider a future career in dementia research, as part of National Careers Week, 1st - 6th March 2021.
Dr Louise Wood CBE is Director of Science, Research and Evidence at the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC). Along with Professor Chris Whitty, Dr Wood co-leads the NIHR with responsibility for science policy and research. Dr Wood is also a Council member for the Medical Research Council and an honorary fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine.
