Saying a queen needs to wear a wig all the time can feel like an erasure of women who do have hair like Joey Jay (it makes me think of Pink lol) but in the context of Drag Race I think every queen does need to change up how they style themselves as this is the “Drag Olympics”. It’s not the case with every winner but generally it’s best to demonstrate your range of talents

I know my opinion doesn’t matter BUT is a form of art. There’s multiple and many ways to do it. People never really complain when a queen doesn’t wear breasts. Would it be nice to see Joey jay in a wig, sure! But that’s his drag and he was selected to be on the show the way he does drag.
