Installing the Soda Theme for Sublime Text 2

A follower of my on Twitter said that they were having some trouble installing the Soda Theme for Sublime Text 2, so I figured I would create a video for all. I am currently using Sublime Text 2 Version 2.0.1 in this video.

Thanks! Seeing the entire process helped me out. Seeing is believing! There are just too many "opinions" out there on how this should be done. I will just add one small note here for future visitors.

The Sublime Package Control is not needed for manual configuration. I would recommend doing this manually. It's no big deal, just follow along as shown in this video and skip the Package Control bits.

Warning! When editing the file, make sure to separate each line by a comma, and do not end the last line with a comma! If the last line has a trailing comma and you save it this way, you will no longer be able to run Sublime anymore. It will give you an error each time you run it. You can recover from this error by editing the aforementioned file in another editor like Notepad++ and removing the trailing comma. Don't make the same mistake as I did.

For 'how to enable' skip initial talking and jump to 3:13; summary; go to soda github page, copy settings into user preferences to enable theme.

I'll tell you how effective this was for me. I now understand that the theme handles SB2 UI and the color scheme handles the way it presents text in the various file types. 
Tell me what color scheme or theme do you prefer for Markdown. Much appreciated and all that. Cheers.

my bad, the theme is awesome, monokai soda color scheme suits better than the one you're using, you just need to install that too ;)

@ Christopher Kennedy I'm a windows user and I've been able to follow along pretty well with package control and being able to download the theme with package control. However I don't know how to active it. My preferences - settings - user is a little different. Any advice? Thanks!

I tried to replace the package:
en_US fr_FR, but it is still in English
apparently it is not compatible

That file for me is very minimal. This is all the code in that file..

Literally that's it. I did open the Preferences --> Settings - User file and found it there, and when I replaced it with the code that you gave me it worked just fine. Should this work, or is my Sublime all outta wak?

the color scheme is horrible!! i thought soda would be much better since people are talking about it
