I keep seeing people saying that this is like Black Pink which makes me sad because those commenters are missing so much of the symbolism of this era. This set is heavily inspired by Vaudeville and Burlesque. It’s a style that has been used for over a century by many performers. The whole era is a nod to silent films and early 1900’s stage performers. Even in the Fortnight music video, you can see the heavy Victorian influence. It’s pretty important to the greater message and theme. 🫶🏼🤍🖤
