Hi, I have some concern about the 14 days LOA for people coming back from China.
For a Singaporean PR or work permit holder, he/she will likely be living in a rented place.
With the likelihood that the symptom maybe mild and even only involving fever on the onset of illness(the virus seems to attack the lungs directly without cold/running nose/sore throat symptoms), the returnee will very likely transmit the virus to the people in the house....
Is it really advisable to have returnees who can be considered at risk to be allowed to mix in the community?
Should there not be dedicated facilities or places to house such group of people in relative isolation away from the community?
I am really very worried; this is a game of risk and any one positive infection case will mean whole households being infected.


I suggest that returnees be housed in dedicated facilities. One possibility will be the schools vacated after mergers example Primary, Secondary, and JCs that were vacated. The class rooms can be partitioned into individual rooms?


Are there not more people raising these concerns?

Mercedes in Beijing has told all employees to return to work on Monday on the advice of the Germans and foreigners were also advised not to leave China as airports posed a risk. Now I consider the Germans to be acting in such a manner in order to butter China up, economic reasons as automobile industries been severely affected.
