if I'm in song mode and have recorded audio track 1 then start with audio track 2, audio track 1 is overdubbed every time. I just don't know what to do and need urgent help.

I never saw song mode this way I mean you converted it to one sequence so that song is played back the wa
Y you arranged it but what thru me off when you went to track and unmuted and muted so did you just changed what you had arranged before you converted it?

The MPC One is undoubtedly a great machine but I'm still struggling with Song Mode. It's way too counterintuitive for me & the way you end up having to construct a song, even using track mutes, really breaks up the flow of the finished tune for me.
If I have a track, say a melody, that continues for 16 bars & I want to change the other shorter tracks by starting a different sequence, then the longer sequence also restarts!
Yes, you can get around this by constructing a combination of sequences into one long sequence but this is where you have to start using the logical part of your brain & the flow of the tune falls apart.
We need an Arranger Mode on the MPC (yes, I know there is a hacked firmware that does this) so you can just freestyle jam & record a song, instead of having to program it in like a 1950's computer tech!
