The comments section of this TikTok video was mixed. Both men and women said that the move this guy made was good, ok, and bad. One guy got the answer right. Allow me to elaborate.

Men everywhere are learning that it can be a bad move to be "too nice," which is counterintuitive. Should we all... STOP being nice? Isn't nice... good?

No, it turns out! Only in certain cases. Here's my explanation of why this wasn't one, and why this guy found out the hard way (he has underdeveloped emotional skills).

It’s such a shame that her dog went through all this trouble to mail her a letter and not only did she not appreciate it, she was REPULSED by it and didn’t even recognize that it was her precious pupper that sent it! Not only that, she blamed it on this poor sweet man that she had two dates with. This woman violated the trust and admiration of her dog AND ruined a potential future with her suitor. Modern women are crazy!

That letter was super cringe. If she was already head over heels for the guy, she might overlook that in spite of how cringe it was. But him finding her address without her knowledge should further collapse any interest. It's creepy by default, the exception is if she's already obsessed with him where she would overlook red flags.
