MASSIVE CHALICE is now available for PC, Mac, Linux, and Xbox One!

Get to know the members of the MASSIVE CHALICE development team and gain some insight on what it means to be working in the games industry with MASSIVE KNOWLEDGE, a new series from 2 Player Productions and Double Fine.

Episode 9 is an exploration of the technical side of graphics creation with senior graphics programmer David Farrell. MASSIVE CHALICE had a tight budget but still managed a unique look thanks to many clever graphics techniques adapted to the Double Fine buddha engine.

Each episode will focus on a different member of the team, exploring their individual talents and contributions to the development of MASSIVE CHALICE.

Really cool interview/job presentation, as always. Thanks for sharing! I hope to one day be able to work at a company like Double Fine, but before I can even send in resumés I decided it'd be a good idea to make a game or at least a demo first, and all the skills presented in the Massive Chalice series came around already, from game design to 3D modeling to gameplay and graphics programming. It's a real pleasure to see how things go in a *real* company! I wonder how different it is from one company to another though, toolset-wise. The Buddha engine seems great but as my only engine experience is coming from Unity, I do have a hard time understanding the whole pipeline, but I suppose that's normal without actually creating content with the engine :)

he starts talking really loud and at the end you have to double the volume so you can hear him. so weird. am i the only one who noticed it ?

Never knew a texture atlas was known as a "megatexture" before, cool!
EDIT: Eh, duh, no idea why I said "before" there, heh. Guess it's still the same exact thing.
