@14:00 A possible reason to sample a drumset is to save processing power. Many drumsets have a ton of plugins on every channel strip. By sampling all individual drum sounds, you can potentially save on CPU cycles.

Lot of new features - all good stuff - sadly lots of bugs - the drag and drop for the multi sampler is doing my head in particularly, let’s hope 10.5.1 hits the streets sooner rather than later

There seems to be a lot of drag and drop functionality which is great. 10.5.0 is a bit buggy - looking forward to a couple of update fixes.

if i drag and drop to desk top whether it is an audio file or midi region from Soft instrument it adds about a 1/4 of silence to the audio file i don't want this to happen i want it to be the loop length of the loop ?

DT how do I run 10.5 on High Sierra? It says its incompatible but I see others running it with the same specs as mine.

Bug. I’m only a few months into using Logic so this could be 1000% user error - have you noticed the “follow playhead” function turning off after edits? I don’t recall having to keep turning that function on all the time. Still, some pretty cool potential with this update. I’m not too much a techno/hip hoppy type of guy but it’s pretty neat in the 8 hours I’ve been messing with it. Also, on 2 of the pieces I tested (out of 6) from pre-update the samples didn’t all load perfectly. Once again - user error very possible - but some were no hitches, some were.

can you use the live loops section for aux tracks?
say do you do a nice automation of a delay, can you drag a clip of that automation section to different loops?
or maybe you would do that on the track itself.
that would be awesome.

Great video. I remain concerned about bugs. The cycle loop bug is kind of disturbing. Did you figure out what was happening with that little "feature"? Perhaps just a rare thing that goes away with a reboot? I would be interested if it comes back again.
