I live in Connecticut/USA. I lived in Edinburgh for a year. It was chilly, cloudy and rainy 90% of the time !!! We Walked everywhere. No worries. No complaints !! I ate whatever I wanted to, but I lost 10 lbs without trying to, just from walking !!!
My birthday is in May. I prayed it wouldn't rain. After I got home for the day, it rained a little bit ... Just enough to make 5 rainbows in different directions across the sky. One time, I saw 3 mini rainbows in one corner of the sky, & the only colors were - blue and purple !!! That was all 20 years ago. I love to watch this every week. I'll say to myself, I walked There.!! & There !! & There !!! ... I was a live in Nanny. I'd walk to the school to get the children. It's the school Sean Connery went to !! Two blocks from there, is where they filmed, "The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, " !!!
I walked the Royal Mile to see the Military Tattoo. & I often took the children to The Meadows. We'd make up our own games and run around and play. Good memories !!! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 💙🕊️💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

My mother, two older sisters and a first cousin came to Edinburgh for the first time approximately 11 years ago from today…and ironically, my cousin, one sister and I made the exact same walk you made in this video. I want to come back there, but I haven’t had a chance to make the journey again. I absolutely love Scotland!❤

I was probably there in Princes St Garden near the same time as you. My brother and I were in Edinburgh for three days and on Islay for four days. A wonderful trip! I used a lot of the info from your videos as a guide during our time. Thanks.

One of the first places I saw was the Craig Miller Castle. I loved it. Yes it's small, & empty... But little kids can run around and play hide and seek, while the adults could learn the history of castles !! They even have wedding receptions there. Castles may be no big deal to people who grew up in places with castles. I know that even in Connecticut, we have one little castle !!!
But now, I teach people why the stairwells are built the way they're built; & why the windows are so narrow. You all may know that already, in Scotland... But we don't have such things in the States !! Yeah, we have the Excalibur Castle in Las Vegas, but it's not historical !!! Oh !! & Not far away from Craig Miller Castle is, the Harley Davidson shop !! I bought a few Harley Davidson T-shirts for my friends & rellies who like Harley Davidson things !! I bought myself a Hard Rock Cafe T-shirt, with the Edinburgh Castle on the back of it !!! I still have that, too !! (I'll be 71 next month!!!).
