It feels like any bugs that benefits the player are being fixed but the bugs that can randomly kill you are left in the game

I remember back on the old Legacy Console Editions, there was a sprint bug that allowed you to sprint backwards; you moved faster than you would going forwards. This even happened on Bedrock for a time.

Sprint sneaking needs to stay in the game because on laggy servers where it takes 10 seconds to eat food, being able to sprint jump makes it so you can still move at a good speed

I've used the "Sneak Sprint Exploit" so much without realizing it was a bug. I've been using it for everything from building to traversing ancient cities lmao.

If it was patched when it was first reported then nobody would care. But since it has been in the game for 5 years at this point it should be reconsidered as a feature.

I didnt even know, sprint sneaking was a bug but have probably done it a million times.

Sprint sneaking is/was really useful for parkour, the technique called "bursting" allows you to easily cross 2 gap jumps by just sneak sprinting at the edge of the block and jumping. It made 1 block jumps with 2 block ceiling really easy as well as many other jumps. Seeing it go breaks my heart and for the first time ever questions me still playing the game.

Apparently they also made it so leaving a game while falling doesn't negate fall damage when you rejoin. You'll still be doomed.

if they want to "fix" it they should implement it as a proper feature. give it some kind of cost, ie more hunger, having a small chance to make noise, a small chance to trample crops, etc. like you're sneaking but you're rushing and prone to trip up

1:20 that one block sprint happens due to how hitbox works in the game. Someone made video about it and prove it via math about doing it consistently and always. Due to numbers not rounding up properly, it's not forever. His name is Heppe. You should def check him out.

On bedrock/java crossplay servers there’s a bug for BEDROCK PLAYERS ONLY where you can sprint jump in a sneaking state. Exact same observable speed, hidden name tag, and ledge guarding. You can only do this with swift sneak 3 though

My take on this is: its a bug that needs to be fixed, HOWEVER since so many people enjoy it, it's a sign that the whole movement system needs to be reworked to work *like* the bug, but officially.

so my lack of pvp skill could be just the other players are abusing a bug that was unknown to me for years
