This is a perfect example of why opal is called "Queen of Gems."
It has the glory of ruby red, turquoise and sapphire blues, the green of emeralds and tsavorite garnet, the
peach of coral, the yellow of yellow sapphire, the purple of amethyst, on and on. This sample is especially fine. I remember my first opal ring. I was flying with friends in their small 4 seat plane. I was so entranced by the sun causing the opals to fire up, blazing their color. I have loved them ever since! They look different every time one studies them so they seem
like a different gem each time they are worn. One of God's best surprises for the lapidary to set free!
