The real source of value is energy, and energy comes either from the sun or from the Earth. But that energy is not enough. What is the value of the energy from the sun if we can't put it to productive use? It seems like labour is still required to transform energy into productive energy. Like planting crops, for example. We get energy from the sun through our food which we then need to spend some in order to plant more food so we can keep eating.
