Taekkyon Competition- Korea’s Native Martial Art

Every year in the summer, the Kyulyun school of Taekkyon holds a battle match in Insadong district of Seoul. The match is a winner stays on format between two teams, where you win by kicking your opponent in the head or throwing them to the ground.

This is the sport or the traditional game form of taekkyeon, where straight kicking and hand moves are not allowed, nor is it allowed to grab your opponent for more than a second. The battle form is quite different.

Awesome from an ITF black belt. I recognise all the kicks..except that cartwheel kick. I don't think Gen Choi included that one in ITF TKD.

Takkyeon its good but the space its too small for the battle

I would love to learn Taekgyeon to include with my Kung Fu. I think it would be beneficial for close ranged fighting not mma which is a long ranged fighting format.
