In world war one and two the USA tried to stay out of war. How did that go? In WW1, if it werent for the interception of the telegram the USA was facing an enemy on their doors. In WW2, nazi germany and imperial japan grew insanely strong and large before they attacked the USA directly.

I don't support interventionism in minor conflicts or civil wars, but we as the free world need to be aware of when a conflict turns major. The unfortunate reality is peace is maintained through war. If you let your enemies grow strong by invading soverign nations, they will eventually outgrow you and whittle you apart piece by piece making you weaker and weaker to respond.

You cant just say "no more war" and it is all of a sudden not going to affect you and world peace is achieved.
