Welcome to Episode 7 of #WhatTheMEL!!

#WhatTheMEL is your weekly dose of Mel unedited: inspiration, insight, advice, and of course a lot of humor. You’ve got questions and Mel’s got a lot to say about a lot of things.

From answering your questions to taking you inside Mel’s life, you’ll see it all. In this episode, Mel is answering questions about discovering your dreams, building a business and working remotely in a different time zone.

In true Mel fashion, she breaks down these big questions into actionable and simple steps.

Next, Mel talks business. Specifically about her business. Question 2 at 6:18 comes from Julie who asked, “How did you make the leap from a one-woman show, to building out Team Mel and growing your business?” As Mel built out her team, it wasn’t smooth sailing to say the least. In this segment, she explains how frustration and jealousy are signs that it’s time to grow your team.

And lastly, at 11:01, Mel talks about feeling overwhelmed first thing in the morning. This question came from a woman who works remotely in a different time zone than the headquarters of her company. Mel breaks it down into a few simple tips that will shift your mindset and help you wake up feeling in control and ready to take on the work day.

I’m jealous of people that have dreams!! I have been trying to find my dreams for so long that I don’t even know where to look anymore.

Figuring out my dreams is stressing me out. I feel more at peace with a simple quiet life.

I really need this right now. im 25, drop out, no job and no dreams. Using jealousy as means to realize my dreams is a fresh approach. Thank you so much.

Wow, you are the first person who did not make me feel bad about being jealous of someone else’s achievements. I have to remind myself that jealousy, although a negative emotion, actually has a purpose and can help you uncover your dreams!

Love the wisdom you impart ! I’m a 70 year old nanny and yet the advice and guidance you give has helped me ! As much on a personal level as professional! Sometimes the service/care providers are not considered or featured in this type of content and we need to be encouraged too ! After all how would parents be successful without us ! Thanks Mel ! I love and believe in you too ❤️

Whooo, I had to stop the video at 5:13 and cry. It took me 3 seconds to think of someone I was jealous of...and the floodgates opened. Thank you, that was a revelation. 💛

Mel, you are so spot on! Sometimes I feel bad of being jealous with others. But then I realize, I was jealous because it triggers me that I should work on my dreams/plans that I want, which I saw others have achieved.

I wish Mel understood that some of us honestly don't have any. For real. And her denying that is kind of hurtful. 😢

I did not have dreams until I was about 37 years old. Maybe I was blocked BECAUSE I was developing into the person I needed to be in order to have/want dreams. I was a little concerned from time to time that I did not have dreams, but I never really cared or worried about it. So if you don't have dreams, try not to worry about it. Maybe you are just in a season of development.

This is why I love you Mel!!! Speaking the truth! I’ve felt lost and blocked for most of my life! I don’t know what I want or care about anymore. I need to find who I’m jealous of. My dreams of 35 years ago are not my dreams today, but it’s good to actually have something to try and find that dream.

I’m literally not jealous of anyone. Am I living my dream? I have noticed a distinct lack of striving lately.

I found out about you back then, it was those small videos after shows that I was addicted to watching, they were always amazing! And I always looked at your following and was so confused you didn’t have so many more! But here you are now and just brilliant Mel, thank you for everything you do!

The jealousy advice is powerful, but can I replace 'jealous' with 'deep admiration'? I am thoroughly inspired by a certain musician who packs stadiums worldwide and sings and speaks of nothing but real love and peace. His energy, enthusiasm, and complete connection with the massive audience is intoxicating and I want that for myself and everyone around me! I want to inspire and help people connect with their global family but I can't even do that with my teenage kids. I feel like I'm too old at 54, where do I start?

This hit me hard this morning. What are my dreams? What am I jealous of? Not easy questions to answer at 53. What I'm jealous of our couples that made it through the tough times, are deeply in love and are eachother's biggest cheerleaders.
