Today we look at a midterm from UBC covering the first half of the course. I do every question with you, then break down what I think would be appropriate for a decent grade.

I think a better explanation for question 2.(d) would be to recognize that the variable inside of the function f(e^x^2) is itself a function. Let's call that function h(x)=e^x^2. Then you can express g(x) as a composition of f(h(x)). This will make the use of the chain rule to solve g'(x) become more apparent.
