Lepa Svetozara Radić was a Yugoslav Partisan of Serb origin who was awarded the Order of the People's Hero in 1951 for her role in the resistance movement against the Axis powers in the Second World War—becoming the youngest recipient at the time. She was executed at the age of 17 for shooting at German troops. As her captors tied the noose around her neck, they offered her a way out of the gallows by revealing her comrades' and leaders' identities. She responded that she was not a traitor and that her comrades would reveal themselves when they avenged her death.

What a heroine. They don't make them like that anymore.

I read her original letter (maybe there is somewhere online) and I was all in tears...

Her aunt begged her to run away from that part of the country at a safer place where her aunt and uncle were (only living family)...

Lepa wrote back that she can't, because all her were killed, even her brother Milan of 4 y. (they took him to Jasenovac, concentration camp for children).
And she has no longer wish to live, only to help others to save their lives and to revenge her little brother...

I even was at place where they cought her, when she tried to help others (old, women, children) to cross mountain Kozara (today Kozara National Park).

First they tortured her couple of days to say names of other Partisans.
She said none.
Then they hung her up as an example to others...
Even then she was brave and yelled something, encouragement for others ( you can google it).

She even didn't have a proper pant and shoes. She made herself pants of an old tent...
