Excellent video as usual Jim.  Heavy rain on the Oregon coast today and this evening makes me wish for a nice dry lakebed.  Very high winds here will prevent any flying in these parts....hope for better on your end.

Another really great Video Jim I really liked the music and also the wonderful bits of wisdom that you imparted. Every time I think I have seen your best work you come up with something much better and surprise me more. Just a beautiful place and it looked even better from the air. As for the slots you ought to do like I do I just go to the cashier and write them a check for what I would lose anyway, takes the grief of losing it. Keep the props spinning my friend.

Ivenpah dry lake is reserved for wind powered vehicles. It is one of the few places that you can relax and let the wind pucker your A-s at 60 mph+. if you sit on the ground at the parking area you cannot see the freeway and the wind is the only thing you can hear. I have been there and was clocked at 50 mph being pulled by a kite in a 3 wheeled " kite buggy" its enough to make you pucker. In Nov. on thanksgiving the land-sailors are there to see if they can brake the land-sailing speed records. it is a magical place especially at night!  Look up the Buggy Buggy Thang or Cory Jensen for more info.
