The Kioxia cards are safe to use and keep, they used to be a memory centric spin-off of TOSHIBA but rebranded to a different name in 2019. It's the black unbranded cards that you need to watch out for! Good video, by the way!

Happy birthday to you! What an awesome video. The game snap at the end made me laugh lots. Keep up the amazing reviews man. 🎮🎉

I have it and LOVE it!!! The masking tape button mods perfect the hardware, reducing click sounds and completely eliminating button rattle!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Happy birthday!! I got mine yesterday, but retroarch is so difficult for me. I've been watching videos and still only understand basically what I already figured out myself. There's so many menus and options. Plus all the files that dont need to be seen. Like just alot, i hope I can grasp it and customize to my liking soon. Spent the last 2 days trying to get it set up. Also how do you get the gameroom/ RA game folder to read card? Mine are always empty, so I have to use retroarch itself. Just wish it was not so difficult for somethimg that should be plug and play. I love clamshells and would like to get this working to play. Also the touch power button to analog does not work for me. I also mapped the d pad to the analog controls for n64. But it unfortunately does not work for me. Does any of this become second nature.

Thanks for the video pal. It was good as always man!
As I’ve said times before, I’ve STILL hadn’t picked up an emulation handheld. (Call it gun shy, should put money to something better, what have you) I did not know that the official firmware was customizable. Good to know, I learned something today. and of course custom can be fun to play with too.
I like the design here, and good on ya for walking us through the retroarch hot keys.

Hi Bat, I recently bought an 8bitDo Pro2 controller, and it's quite a mess to map the buttons, I follow the steps to map the 8bitDo controller in port 1, but immediately do this, the RA menu doesn't work (kinda frozen or start to move up relentlessly...) its frustrating, can you help me?

Thanks for the video. I am sure you will be able to expend the memory. I use a pi to do it but I think windows has a disk manager in it. Also the new firmware does it come with the games (if you did not get the 128 gig one?

what do you mean about "losing all that extra space" when talking about the 128 gb card? like does it somehow change the card and decrease its storage? or just that its gonna have space that wont be used?

The latest firmware release only exists in uts 16GB version and doesn't include stock ROMS. It reduces the main 64GB card to a mere 2GB volume. I have a second 128GB card, which I copy/pasted the old content onto, but in Gameroom or RetroArch, it doesn't give me the possibility to chose TF1 or TF2 anymore. And I obviously can't put the ROMS on the TF1 because it's only 2GB now. Is there a solution to this? Either make the TF2 recognizable or update the new firmware and include the old ROMS? Or just switch to muOS…?

I'm trying to remap the buttons on my 8BitDo M30 controller via Bluetooth to play fighting games like SFIII (thankfully it has HDMI out), but because the controller doesn't have analogue sticks I get stuck part way through the process. Have you been able to do this? Also will yours play Sega super-scaler arcade ROMS such as Powerdrift or Thunder blade?

When I have a controller connected I can navigate my retroarch menu. The sp or controller won’t move in the menu once it gets pulled up any ideas ?

Quick question. After I update the new card, What do I do with the 64gb backup that I created? Do I just transfer it onto the card like the 128 one?

Is there a reason why the rg35xx h runs out of charge super fast even after doing a full shutdown? I havent used my rg351p in over a year and it still had a 93% charge and took hours for it to die during gameplay. Keeps a charge just fine too. I was looking forward to replacing it with the 35xx h but with that battery issue that's not happening. Is this an issue with the other xx devices? Is it the OS that could be the problem? I have knulli.

That blue card is from Toshiba. There was no need to replace it.
